Because every ceremony is unique and requires a different time commitment, I can only provide a range for my fees. On the low end, if you want me to dress up like Harry Potter and officiate your elopement at a local park or in your backyard , then I’ll probably charge you $200 bucks and $.45 per mile for any drive beyond 10 miles from my zip code 03104. On the other end of my fee spectrum, I’ll probably charge you closer to $500 if you need me to spend a weekend camping with you, way up north at the Connecticut Lakes so you can get married underneath the next aurora borealis. Please get in touch to discuss the details and tell me what you have in mind.
Your ceremony idea may require you to incur other expenses outside of my officiant fee. For example, you may need to buy me a ticket to a concert or specific equipment that I will keep afterward. I’ll take that into consideration when giving you a fee quote.
I usually take half of the officiant fee as a non-refundable deposit to secure the date. The other half is due the day of your ceremony. If for some reason I’m unable to officiate your nuptials (like breaking a leg or something) then your non-refundable fee becomes refundable. If inclement weather (lightning, hurricanes, high winds, other acts of god etc…) prevents us from completing the ceremony, then I’ll work with you to reschedule to a different date.
